Too Old to Fight the Cold

by Jim Rapp

At eighty he’s old,
but he’s still feeling guilt when
others endure cold

while he lies in hold,
wrapped in his robe, sipping warm,
reliving, eightfold,

days when he made bold,
fought winter, morning to night,
enduring (enjoying) the cold.
